The quarry of Vodecée

La Croisette is a former red marble quarry that operated until the late 1980s. We wanted to preserve the atmosphere that existed when these large blocks of red marble were mined. We don't have planes, boats, or buses. But you can see the equipment used during the quarrying process. If you pay close attention, you can also spot the many inscriptions carved into the marble by the quarrymen of the time.

How to get a diver out of the water

Security & Services
Safety is your business! Every diver is responsible for their own safety.
Safety at the Croisette relies on all divers taking turns participating.
The rule is simple: "Always a safety group on the pontoon!"
You enter the water when the next group arrives and takes over.
You leave the pontoon after your dive when another group leaves the water.
The last group checks that there are no bubbles on the surface and that there is no "rebreather" sign on the special notice board on the pontoon.
Clubs with more than 9 divers must bring their own oxygen tanks to the water launch.
The launch is monitored by a camera visible from the bar.
In the event of an incident, press the large red button and communicate via the intercom on the metal cabinet.
An orange stretcher is available to retrieve a diver from the water.
Other stretchers are available in the chalet.

In the event of an accident, a club representative will open the safety cabinet at the launch. First aid equipment is located there: oxygen, insulating mattress, life jacket, pocket mask, survival blanket, etc.
The changing rooms serve as an infirmary; additional emergency equipment is available, including a 20L oxygen cylinder upon request.
The emergency information sheet can be downloaded at the top of the "Croisette" page.

No more than three groups of divers are permitted on the pontoon.
The pontoon is reserved for divers wearing wetsuits.
